** Fulgeance ** LivePad backstage @ DOUR FESTIVAL 2010

Amongst all the changes I discover in this festival (especially bad stuffs, anyway), there’s something which never change each year since I go there.

Those guys knows what to do to give us good sounds, and also after the festival, some goodies comes to make your horrible sunday better.

As already post before , here’s a live session in the backstage. Fulgeance who came with his « Peter digital orchestra » gave a special 20 minute pad demonstration just for us.

Thanks to him and enjoy, good vibes innit …

 

 

Drumming and pads relationships

Since the beginning of the legendary MPC gears, it’s possible to pretend to drum without annoying all your neighbourhood and even chop and slice and destroy beautiful piece of music to make samples… fucking producers…

Anyway, some guys decided to make those controllers their main weapon to rippin it up!! I’m gonna purpose you some of my favourites pad drumming sessions. Some wacky, some fresh, some groovy, some freestyle, but the important stuff is to enjoy it!!

First is a french guy called « Fulgeance » playing live one of his song called « Glamoure » released on his Glamoure EP.

Second is a portuguese guy called « Dj Ovelha negra » AKA « Stereossauro ». That’s a unknown track that I hope it’ll get out one day… Just tasty as a portuguese « guitarra » (thx mr. Mute)

Next on the list is a guy called « Edison » playing with a special Arduinome made by himself in his old lunch-box. Not exactly the same stuff, but still heavy!!

Now, this is a french/vietnamian crew called « Tha Trickaz » who do live based on pas drummings with some scratchs and other stuffs added. There’re lots of videos, but i like that one, specially at 2:53, so groooooovy!!!

And now, one of my favourite ever, a drumming battle, everything is done live, it’s impressive of accuracy!!!

As already introduced before, sixtonarmor released a new shit directly from hell. The selectors for this month are HEZUS. As described on the website:

Hezus is a wife-husband duo from San Diego, Ian doing the drums/vox while Doreenhandles keys/vocals. They formed War & Cinema in 2005 with a third guy then began Hezus in 2008 when W&C dissolved. You can hear a heavy 60es psych influence on their demos, since they’re still working on their very first effort, that should be out soon. They’re also featured on the upcoming Gonjasufi’s Caliphs Tea Party LP for Warp Records as a remixer.

You should hear more from them soon hopefully!

La France est une démocratie il parait… Ses citoyens sont libres de choisir entre la morgue et l’hôpital pour diriger le pays, d’aller en prison pour outrage à agent pendant que Charles Pasqua pavane au Sénat, de regarder l’écran débilitant de leur téléviseur, d’y boire les paroles de pseudointellos type Zemmour, BHL ou Finkielkraut (comme son nom l’indique), de bouffer du glutamate, du dicarbonate de diméthyle et autre E633, d’être au chômage, d’avoir un boulot à la con, d’être pauvre, d’avoir la religion qu’ils veulent mais pas n’importe comment, de fermer leurs gueules sauf sur internet, le tout à l’égout de la démocratie selon certains, et surtout de dire MERCI pour tout ces bienfaits.
Nous n’avons personnellement pas très envie de dire merci. Nous préfèrons cracher dans la soupe ou mieux : NOUS GICLONS DANS LA BISQUE DE HOMARD.
Quant à ceux qui nous trouvent vulgaires, nous leur rétorquerons qu’ils peuvent étudier le dico.
