Tracklist :
Having last appeared on Five Easy Pieces in 2012 with the Eclosure EP, Kuku is the long- awaited new release from London-based producer Dario Rojo Guerra also known as Flako. Following two collaborations with Fatima on her Eglo Records debut album Yellow Memories, Kuku is both Guerra’s first solo release in two years and the first single to be taken from his forthcoming debut album, Natureboy. Featuring two tracks from Natureboy and two productions exclusive to this release, Kuku sees him continue to build on the uncanny natural world created on Eclosure, with a mixture of recorded instrumentation, synthesizers and vocals exploring the theme of balance key to Natureboy.
Who said that PiuPiu was dead? Few years after the explosion of Kaytranada and more recently guys like High Klassified or Shash’u, the new generation of Montreal’s beatmakers keeps the spirit of that typical kind of beat. We recognize the touch funky and off beat at the same time that we’ve discovered on their latest releases and live performances (especially at MEG Mtl this summer)
Liam and Fruits from the collective Trust the team release their new duo project Lava.
The Fluctuation Remixes album shows the alternate world of Printempo music seen through the eyes of producers from Poland, Great Britain, Austria and the USA. In this new world, the rules by which Printempo composed his music no longer apply. This created a new space, reserved for the musical vision of not just one person, but rather twelve producers invited to take part in the project. They are the ones who determined the fascinating rich sound of Fluctuation Remixes.
The collective Delaboucle has released his new beat compilation. Delaboucle are known in Nantes and in France for their beat parties at Le Canotier. The beatmakers of this second opus have been part of their beat sessions and have all produced unreleased tracks on this Delaboucle Vol.2.
Three of this artists have already contributed on our latest Unlog Complex. You’ll recognize the Tayreeb‘s style that we’ve all loved with the track Langskip trip and the jazzy touch of Güms that you’ve discovered with Voices.
And the last but not the least, R33, member of the Unlog family drop another bomb on this compilation.

Back in June 2012, his track Ella Ella (check player below) was the introduction to our very first compilation.
2015 : One beat per day : that’s how Grillo, italian producer / sound designer based in Milan decided to start this year.
Still the eclectic hip hop infused instrumentals we love (check his excellent EP Urabon if you haven’t already), declined here in 4 (and we’re expecting at least a fifth) volumes, available for free download. Follow this guy!
Happy Birthday to the slovakian label Gergaz! Here’s their latest compilation from the BEAT GARDEN yearly series, full with the vibe and sound that they’ve been pushing for the past 6 years.
Enjoy!

After several remixes and the EP Jane Junkyard in 2013. Julien Mier is back on track with another personal project and he’s back on one of the most promising french labels, Cascade Records.
Call it a big EP or a mini LP, this 8 tracks’ EP is oscillating between chillout and atmospheric tracks.
As you’ll see in his own description, He moved from junkyard to a peacefull place and you can feel it in his music.
We’ve just released our 5th compilation, and we hope you’re enjoying it right now. Let’s go a bit further and introduce to you all the artists who took part in the project. In this fourth part, Kuna Maze,Ally Mobbs and Jeebrahil.

Track : Kuna Maze – Ain’t no snitch
KunaMaze’s EP Maze#1 released in mid-2014 was a 5 track journey through hypnotic synth layers, dusty samples, and broken beat. That feeling is still present on Ain’t no snitch, Kuna Maze’s part in this compilation.
Musician, crate digger, Kuna Maze is inspired by artists such as Flying Lotus, Daphne Oram or Sun Ra.
As Woodwire, Miqi-O and others, he is also active pushing the offbeat hip hop scene in France through the collective Orbit (Lyon).
Latest release : Maze #1 EP (2014)
Track : Ally Mobbs – Last one out
Living in Kyoto, Ally Mobbs, is a sound artist and producer. While his productions are mostly hip hop inspired instrumentals with acoustic elements and made with homemade MIDI controllers, he has a very inspiring approach of sound. Live drumming performer, creator of Beat Picnic, a community dedicated to making music using only sounds from field recordings, he also expresses his talents through art projects. He developped a turntable based drawing machine (harmonograph) for one of his latest projects, Turntablism for the hard of hearing, shown in several art festivals and exhibitions within the past two years.
Track : Jeebrahil – Goodnightout
Artist from Guadeloupe living in Paris, Jeebrahil defines and develops his own style, AmbientHopKa, around electronic music compositions, hip hop and Gwoka, traditional music from Guadeloupe.
« No matter where you’re from and who you are, I am pretty sure that you are aware of what’s happening nowadays in this world and what can lead us to a better destiny. Some things are awful. Some wonderful other things deserve our attention. So in this very time, it is time for you to gather all the positive and to choose your own path. Music should be a way to highlights the elements that can make our world better. This is the reason why i share my creations. »
– Jeebrahil
Thanks for listening, please share our sound around you, and expect more from all those amazing artists.
Next compilation coming in April 2015.

We can and still will question the influence of turntablists and DJs over the evolution of « DJ oriented » electronic music, yet any tablist you know can tell you that today’s spaced-out glitched 808 sounds over 90’s gimmicks, 80’s synths and 70’s percussions (call it Trap or EDM if you want, but it’ll change name in 2 weeks) is really similar to the sound that many cave scratch nerds were using as training tools 10 years ago. Beats and loops produced by D-Styles, Qbert, Lorn or Machinedrum were very familiar to those people. Of course, electronic music is a wide entity that keeps reinventing itself, and a deep mesh of cultural parameters are at play here. But turntablists often open the breach.
10 years ago, hearing a turntablist juggling with sliced gabber kicks and over compressed hoovers was something quite extreme for many purists; a new challenge for some and a the most serious heresy to others.
Some notable troublemakers brought change, and french based producer Le Jad was one of them. Basically, turntablists saw him as a stubborn and precise audio blacksmith whose speciality, ever since the vinyl release of the battle tool Nervous Shock in 2006, consisted in injecting powerful rave sounds into a purist hip-hop niche. He did, and his precise approach of the techniques of scratching led him to forge the sound of some of the most notable battle routines in the 2000’s.
Since then, he’s been really active as a producer and remixer (we had the chance to release one of his tracks on Unlog Complex #01), but also released a bunch of digital scratch tools and sample packs dedicated to producers.
CATATRAP is his latest sample pack.
CATATRAP is a 100% analog processed samples collection.
After a few sample packs released on major platforms as Beatport, I’ve decided to release this pack on Bandcamp.

Track : Sicaa – Dream Flip

For the second time, we have the opportunity to feature a track from Sicaa. A deep slo-mo trip called Wet Till Late, released on our third compilation, was later reworked as an alternate version and released on Chateau Bruyant Recordings. This time, we feature Dream Flip, a track inspired by the structure of an actual dream.
Wet Till Late (Unlog Version)
Wet Till Late (Dekishi Mix)
Young sound designer, beatmaker and DJ from France, also known as DB or RMBL for dubstep and drum and bass heads, Sicaa founded in 2004 the collective UNC Audio with Mim and Eiton. Later, UNC audio became an independant label, focused on more experimental downtempo vibes.
As a sound designer, his music is deeply inspired by moving images : his 3 first releases as Sicaa (Square Things and Analog: V Elements in 2012, Space Between Worlds in 2013) are the records of his experiments on textures and harmony.
Among his upcoming projects for 2015, the release of a new EP and a beat tape on Unc Audio, another appearance on Château Bruyant, several tracks signed to Exploration Music for their debut compilation, and other releases yet to be confirmed.
Track : Noza – Silvaplana

The last time we had a track from Noza, it was in early 2012, on our very first compilation. His track Naghtva Ugel was already in 2015 back then. This step is quite easy to take : his track Silvaplana is a subliminal trip set on a different calendar.
Based in Brussels, Noza freely masters the art of broken boom bap. For years, he’s been involved in countless collaborations, as a MC or beatmaker, the most notable being with lyricists Veence Hanao (Autumn vol.1, Autumn vol. 2) and Grems (Algebre 2.0, Vampire).
Track : ▓▒░ L ░▒▓ – Deep Jersey Dream

Alongside Nikitch, Mart One or Koon’s, L is a member of the Sound Disciples, a solid collective built on multi-talented artists that has been active between Lyon and Grenoble for several years.
We got the chance to feature Deep Jersey Dream, one of L’s downtempo tracks. Needless to say, you’ll hear a vibe that emerges from the same influences, a clean, refined and efficient composition.
His productions have been very rare up to now, here are the two best ways to reach his music :
Tomorrow, more info about Kuna Maze, Ally Mobbs and Jeebrahil.

Budapest, Hungary.
For the second time, we’re honoured to host a collaboration between Ato and Yapo on our Unlog Complex compilations.
Ato and Yapo started messing around with making beats together around 2009. Since then, Ato was drawn further into photography, while Yapo started to focus more on music. Occasionally they would still collaborate on tracks, just like for this compilation.
Most of their works have been released on the label Asan Music, and we highly recommend spending some time on their Bandcamp or Soundcloud pages.

Active since 2005 Julien Deblois aka Debmaster produced Monster Zoo (Hip Notik Records) featuring MCs from the LA underground crews Global Phlowtations, Project Blowed and The Shape Shifters. Amongst his numerous collaborations, we can count artists such as Thavius Beck, Curse Ov Dialect, Débruit or even Fulgeance.
Later, his « hip hop bousillé » cooked with cold epileptical melodies blasted dancefloors across Europe before his moving to Berlin, where he took a step back and developped a more electronic approach.
His hypnotic track Rissani, an abrasive yet dystopian beat journey, is one of his latest experiments.
Latest release :
Crevin (2013 – Da ! Heard it Records)
Track : Filtercutter – Power Bracelet
![]()
Filtercutter is producer-beatmaker with influences from all kind of different sources. While taking care of small details, his sounds are combination of different genres that are rutted in heavy baselines. Always trying to achieve a higher level of experimentation, by dealing with sound or with electronic circuits in analog equipment. When ruffling the beats, its resulting a rather complex, but emotional vibes.

We’ve just released our 5th compilation, and we hope you’re enjoying it right now. Let’s go a bit further and introduce to you all the artists who took part in the project. In this second part, Tehu, Swealer, Mart One and D£UC£.
Listen and Download Unlog Complex 05

Those among you who have been following us for a while might already know Tehu through his contribution to our Tribute to Ravi Shankar compilation with the track As Found. One of Canada’s best active live beatmakers, Tehu has been a live performer, arranger , remixer and composer for around 15 years. Half of the live hip hop act Dézuet d’Plingrès for the last 8 years, Tehu developed his very own style mixing jazz and boom bap culture on top of strong live skills.
Involved in many live beatmaking battles, he got a lot off attention through his Youtube channel, and the track featured here is a based on a live remix of a soundscape track from Tondal. Not only the track itself is a banger, but we strongly recommand watching Tehu performing his Dude, you died! remix live :
Swealer is an elusive newcomer to the future hip hop scene.
Long time crate digger, Dj and turntablist, scattered music lover being deeply into funk & jazz, hip hop, Jungle, early house, reggae, grime…
Those last years a lot of musical barriers have been taken down, he felt it was an inspiring time to power up his analog synths again, and started a collab with long time friend Mart One.
For the fourth time, we have the chance to feature Mart One’s work on our compilations. Former member of the Scratch Bandits Crew, part of the Sound Disciples with L and Nikitch, and also known as Chamalin, Mart One is both a talented beatmaker and turntablist.
Swealer and Mart One are also working on a EP, released in 2015.

Track : D£UC£ – One Two
D£UC£ (pronounce Deuce) is one of the two audio creators behind the Unikradioshow that has been aired on Campus FM Toulouse for the last 5 years.
This being said, D£UC£’s music attracted our attention when he released his Basket EP, an interesting mashup between broken house, UK bass music, glitchy samples and psychedelic hip-hop., made exclusively using Ableton Live and a Microkorg Vocoder.
His « Kaytranad-esque » 5 minutes track One Two pushed that space / gameplay / dancefloor mood even further.
