TOUCHED TWO – The Remixes

In the end of 2014, Touched released its second compilation (Two), full with no less than 255 tracks, among which some works by artists like Sun Glitter, Bibio, Machinedrum, Hecq, Plaid or Julien Mier.

They’re pushing the project even further, with a remix album, that counts (only) 120 tracks this time.

You can still download the remix album Touched Bandcamp (highly recommanded cause the compilation is highly promisive) or you can donate directly on the fundraisings website.

[ULG#001] – Engone Endong – #OKENG

We’re proud to introduce to you our first release as a label, it will be out on June 18th. We’re starting this new adventure with #OKENG, an inspiring beat tape infused with african beats, produced by Engone Endong.

 

Engone Endong

Raising from his Hip-Hop beginnings in Libreville, Gabon, Engone Endong moved to Montreal, Canada, in 2005 where he honed his craft as a producer-beatmaker-scientist of sound.
He released his first album, Colored Dust Lite, (Atsie Sun Orchestra) in 2011 which led him to write the score for “United States of Africa” experience virtuelle. Engone Endong has performed at Piknic Electronik Music Festival (2013), Pop Montreal (2013) and has shared stages with Rich Medina, Kae Sun, and Jjanice+. He also co-founded African Sessions at the famous Club Ballatou (Montréal).

Influenced by African Tradition, Japanese Shinto and futuristic sounds, #OKENG, meaning “SWORD” in his mother tongue Fang, is also an initiatic journey into the African Culture through samples from Mvett , Highlife, Bwiti and Afrobeat.
This project is an expression of his Inner Self through a cartooned dimension created by Tonton Essono Le Manifik depicting the transformation from an african past to an enlightened future.

“Unlog Complex” is a series of compilations curated by Unlog. Each one contains a selection of previously unreleased tracks composed by major and emerging artists whose work attracted our attention. In this 6th volume, various styles are represented, with artists from Canada (Fruits, Liam, Eli Muro , Bassilus C, Famelik, Morbin), France (Audace, Belier, RXX, Dragon, AMIP, Tenkah, Kayloo, Loowood, Ultroniks, Duff Ill), Belgium (Mehbian, Freezy), Germany (Robot Orchestra), Japan (Daddy Veda) and UK (M.O.T.O.).

Beat Picnic One – Agargara // Ally Mobbs

Hailing from Japan, Ally Mobbs is a sound artist and producer we’ve had the opportunity to feature on our 5th compilation. He is the creator of Beat Picnic, a community dedicated to making music using only sounds from field recordings, and recently teamed up with Agargara (the kind of artist who will remix all 45 tracks from Ilkae’s album Pistachio Island), to release the very first Beat Picnic EP.

This is not only one of the most solid and creative sound projects I’ve stumbled upon lately. This is not only a digital free download on Bandcamp. It also comes as a limited edition cassette, packaged in a bento box.

All sounds in these tracks were manipulated from field recordings from Imperial Palace Gardens in Kyoto, Higashi Honganji Temple in Kyoto, Makino in Shiga and The Mint skate shop, Osaka, Japan.

No other samples or instruments used.
