That’s the kind of music [fill in the blank]. Today, the japanese label Utopian Society[s] dropped their second release, Crevasse of mind(s), a deep and forward thinking experimental essay that lies somewhere between abstract hip hop and and cyber-punk. So it’s no surprise that the french artist Le Parasite is part of that inspiring project.
_CONCEPT
THIS IS « IMAGISM SOUND TRACK ALBUM »
THIS INTENDS THE PROCESS OF MIND[S]
TO INCARNATE YOUR STRONG EMOTION
IMAGINE WITH THE FOLLOWING [WORDS]
TRANSCEND THE BORDER OF INDIVIDUAL
That’s how Utopian Society[s] describe this second release, a mature and eclectic collection of works that feature Baltimore producer Wendel Patrick, japanese artists and entities such as, 8th Wonder, Yaporigami chaos, Palladium, and the band Aureole but also the french beatmakers doz1jee and Le Parasite (we had the honor to welcome on our 3rd Unlog Complex Compilation), with that killer track called Watch The Sky Darken (ft. The Moliqule).
That’s a good opportunity to discover their previous release from 2013, SECTION[S] OF 東京 that also features … what? Himuro Yoshiteru? Not surprising either. By the way, Himuro Yoshiteru is working on another release, Balance EP, on the Irish label Acroplane Recordings. We’ll talk about that later.
