Mathew Ferness – Make Beliefs

makebeliefscover2 copy

Inspired by artists such as Leon Vynehal, Martyn and Jon Talabot, Mathew Ferness is releasing Make Beliefs, his 8th album in almost 2 years.

Based in Trois Rivières (Canada), Mathew Ferness defines his music as G.O.E
(good old electronic) or (A.W.M) Ageing well music. We discovered his work when we ourselves were preparing the third volume of our Unlog Complex series, and finally included his haunting track called Haunted.

Make Beliefs, his 5th release on Bandcamp, is mostly influenced by house music.  An exercise in style, built like an experimental beat-tape in which he mainly used sampling and reinjected projects he made around 2009.
